Well, it's been two months + and...

We had the baby! Only one day late, and here we introduce Milo Che.

He is so beautiful and we cannot get enough of him... even if we might surprise him from time to time...

Mama can't stop showering him with kisses whenever she gets the chance

Even Hud was in for some loving- and he does love his new little brother, though he may still like to play a little hard for an infant.

And just a little daddy action for good measure!

Week 40!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Well, if you are checking when I posted we are about 10 and a half hours shy of 40 weeks... but who's counting? (oh yeah... I guess we are!)

With Hud, we were not sure when he was coming and he popped out right on the morning of his due date. Maybe his brother will take after him in that regard. Maybe not. Who knows? We just know we are excited!

Just like with Hud, she is still doing her power walks everyday! Take a look at mama today and then what she looked like with Hud!

28 September 2007

Holy Crap we made it to week 39!

It almost didn't happen... at least that's what we felt like last night- cramping and anxiety kept poor mama up most of the night, but we didn't go to the hospital... We did, however get some beautiful photos of mama, and one showing her feel her baby in the belly for one of the last times.

Week 38

Today marks two weeks until the due date.... and we are so excited! But, we also recognize an end of an era... the TurbaTrio will exist only as a beautiful memory and the predecessor to the new and wonderful TurbaTetrad. (well, we may have to work on the name a little bit).
To commemorate such a momentous occasion, here is one of the final TurbaTrio portraits that will be taken...

18 September 2007

Full term has arrived

and mama is enjoying her iced coffee (its a decaf) in the sun during this beautiful pre-fall weather we have been having. We visited a working farm to let Hudson see all the animals and run around and scream his head off.

Here she is showing off her luscious curves in a sexy catsuit!
Compare it to her at week 11

Approaching 'Full Term'

We just had our almost full term ultrasound yesterday and we are happy to report that still-to-be-named noname is doing just perfect! Noname is head-down, though not engaged, and all the measurements are right at the middle of 36 weeks. The weight is estimated at 6 lbs 6 oz, and we can expect noname to gain about 1.5 pounds if we makes it to the due date. That would bring baby to about 7 lbs 12 oz, exactly what the big brother weighed at birth!

To get ready for the new baby, we decided that our living room needed a different color. As much as I tried, I couldn't keep the beauty from doing at least a little painting. Thankfully, I made sure to get low VOC paint so that the fumes wouldn't bother mama or baby (or me or Hud!)

04 September 2007

Labor Day is over and

Week 35 is in full-swing! Mama again gets to enjoy her beverage of choice on her built-in table-top. Nothing like an ice-cold lemonade while watching the world go by, slowly, on this holiday weekend.

Week 34

Week 34 is upon us and we are nearing the 'unofficial end of summer' as every newscaster and weather person loves to say, every five minutes, as if we are going to forget it. Regardless, what it means to the beautiful mama is that noname is going to be here soon. All she could think about during the pregnancy was that it will be fall before the baby arrives- and that is such a long time off. But now, with the 'unofficial' end of summer, the baby's arrival is just around the corner. (yay!)

The weekend

The Turba Trio had a busy week this week- time just flew by. Daddy has been working hard on a exciting project (the largest house to be built in Rye) and creating models like he was back in school. He just had a meeting this week and the clients loved the idea. But before this week got crazy, the trio had a nice time relaxing on the front
porch during the weekend.

33 Thirty-Three Lots of threes, but not for long

This week is 33 for the turba trio counting down to the days we evolve from our trio to a quartet (or a foursome for you golfers out there!) You can see that noname is ready to enter this world by the way he tries to push out of poor mama's belly:

Amazing August Weather

This week leading to #32 was a strange one- boiling hot one day, then rain and lows of 50! For August! When it was nice out, we took advantage. Here is fit and healthy mama showing off her belly in her running clothes as the family relaxed in our sunroom and enjoyed the day...

06 August 2007

Laundry Time

Week 31 is upon us and mama is in the nesting mode! It was time to visit her collection of newborn baby clothes that we have received, bought or saved since Hudson. This browsing led to folding, which couldn't be done before all the clothes were washed in baby detergent and line-dried in the sun and breeze.

Week 30

Mama is looking great, even if she is feeling the heat. She has found a good use for that enlarged belly of hers- it makes a good prop so she can surf the web for baby stuff!

31 July 2007

Stuff because you asked....

Well, we don't have any baby registries yet, even though we have been asked. We are going to do what we did last time and create a separate page that links to the stuff we like. Don't feel obligated to check it, please. It is only there if you want to see it, and it helps us keep track of what we need and want for TurbaBaby2.

TurbaBaby Loves This

Stay tuned for some more belly photos!

Another Exciting present

If you have been around Hud lately you know one of his favorite things to say is "choo choo". Mama and Daddy got him a wooden train set and Tio Bernie got him a train table to set it all up on. If you only saw it about 10 minutes later when Hudson decided it was more fun to play Godzilla than Train Engineer.

More great stuff for Hud's Birthday

Abuelo John surprised us with a visit from Peru for Hud's Birthday party... Even better, he got Hud a RED WAGON!!!!

Of course, Daddy had to take his turn (pulling, not riding!)

Mama

Here is mama on week 29 with her first boy and celebrating her birthday as a mama.

Week 29 was a little overshadowed

by our dear Hudson's Second Birthday!!!! We have officially entered the terrible two's- though we have been in them unofficially for a while, so it really isn't that bad. Some days he is so great and curious and amazing, I think it should be more like the terrific two's. I suppose I am bit of a proud papa- but wouldn't you be with a kid like this!

25 July 2007

Only about two weeks behind

For week 28!

I heard that in Ireland when they find out a woman is pregnant, they give take her to the pub and give her a pint of Guinness. Sounds good to me, even if we are a bit late. (It sure doesn't hurt for her to have some more iron!)

Catch up time- Week 27

Back from vacation, and enjoying any A/C I can find for myself and my family, we have been catching up on the inevitable chores that fall through the cracks of travel. My blog posts are high on that list (though not as high as the front lawn was!).

While in Flordia, Caro continued to improve her glow, both by tanning and maternal forces. We also happened upon a great deal on a hat (maybe because the top is missing) but it was just perfect for her- this way she can be in the shade, but still lighten her hair!

Remeber the gatorade?

Or at least the shelf that could support Caro's gatorade the last time around? This time gatorade (and its high-fructose corn syrup yumminess) is gone, and has been replaced with homemade lemonade.... well, that's true, but it is more like lemon juice, water, ice and half a pound of sugar. That's good, because Caro needs to increase her caloric intake in this final trimester so noname can keep growing.

Anyways, the gatorade is out, the lemonade is in. The shelf has transformed into- a Hudson Perch, perfect for that mommy and son time.

For comparison to last time...

I thought it might be helpful to post a pic of mama in her bikini (like last time in FLA) to show the changes from just a few months of pregnancy....

(week 26)

My week 26 post-

A bit late, but we were on vacation and I chose to spend as little time as possible on a computer- some work stuff, no personal emails, little web surfing- and had a lot of time left for Caro, Hud and noname.

My beautiful wife's belly keeps growing, which is good because so does noname. Depending on how you count or what website you check, we are approaching or are in the third trimester this week. Either way, look at this gorgeous babe!

21 June 2007

Father's Day! and Week 24....

We planned for weeks and prepared for our first family camping trip. How did it turn out? Our camping trip came and quickly went.... Suffice it to say we lasted about an hour at the campgrounds, and that was because we went for a 45 minute hike. RVs, inflatable couches, motor scooters and country music were not on our list for communing with nature.

So we spent the weekend together enjoying our home and each other. See Hud's new glasses as he poses with mama...

And I was taken out for a lovely meal with my p's and my wife and son. Look at my new organic cotton and hemp shirt- go green!

12 June 2007

Week 23... almost 24!

Here we are again with another late blog entry... Why is this happening? Maybe because I've been a bit too slack on taking photos of the lovely mama and her shapely belly? Probably. You'd think I'd find a better excuse, but in reality I am just enjoying her and Hud's company too much to bother going to find the camera and actually taking a photo. With home projects, and preparing for our first camping trip a la TurbaTrio, it's been a busy week or so, but I was able to grab a beautiful shot of mama and baby-to-be enjoying their morning coffee in our bedroom. And don't worry- it's decaf.

08 June 2007

22 weeks, but I was lame...

I never took a good photo of my dear wife during the last week, and I feel so ashamed....

But I did take them to our favorite mexican restaurant- it opened back up after being closed down for a while after the horrible flooding we had a few months ago. I can't believe our town made the national news for all the flooding and devistation, but it was pretty bad.

Anyways, as we were leaving (great timing!) they gave Hud a big red baloon which he absolutely loved. Of course, it popped once we got home and he was playing with it on the porch. He was much more interactive with it now, but it made me remember back when he got his first baloon (also from Tres Jalapenos). And I was happy to find that photo:

30 May 2007

The Holiday weekend has caught me offguard!

It is almost week 22 and I have yet to post the photos of week 21. Chalk it up to home projects, a twenty-two month toddler, a pregnant wife, and finally moving back in to our house (even though we still don't have a finished bathroom!)

Some things do not ever change, however. For example, my wife continues to run in the heat and with the extra babyweight, and she still looks amazing while doing it:

See- Hudson loves it too!

22 May 2007

Here we are at the half-way mark:

And we have some new photos from our visit to the ultrasound. The tech was so amazed at how our little baby cooperated during the exam- rolling, flipping, even extending the fingers when the tech needed a hand shot. It was a dream to see our little one swimming in pre-natal bliss.

For all you curious folks out there, here are the photos of the skunkee-in-the-oven. Enjoy!

15 May 2007

Look out she's one hot mama!

If it was a bit darker, you wouldn't even know she was pregnant. I bet all her old boyfriends are so jealous- well, anyways, at least I know I am one lucky guy to get to take such a beautiful woman to our friend's wedding last weekend. Week 19 is here, almost half way, and soon we go for the ultrasound to make sure baby is good.

07 May 2007

A crazy week 18 ahead and we are preparing...

In order to make sure we can keep up with the antics that are sure to happen this week, with our travels for a wedding and mini-reunion with family, we are trying to keep our bodies prepared....

Mama is content to keep her runs going. Even if it is a bit of a roller coaster for the skunkee in the oven, it helps mama stay sane and happy.

Meanwhile, papa has been finding ways of working out and watching Hudson at the same time. Hurrah for multitasking!

30 April 2007

More than just interest...

Hudson has been taking notice lately.... Something looks different!

Maybe drawing on it will help... it sure doesn't look like my chalkboard!

And since it is not all about Hudson (though he wishes it was), a picture of the radiant mama, just weeks before Mother's Day.

24 April 2007

Spring has sprung!

And mama has decided to celebrate it and week 16 with Hud by planting flowers. Hudson loves to help, as you can see, but sometimes....
he gets distracted by that beautiful belly that is the current home to his future sibling. If only it were so easy to keep him entertained, because as soon as we turn around, he's off. He runs out of the backyard so quickly, that...

daddy has had to spend some time building a fence to keep the critter corralled. Of course, he hasn't done it all himself. There was a small gathering the previous weekend (the day before the floods) to help dig the holes and set the posts. We are all very grateful to all who helped.
