The finish line for the first trimester

is in our view, but it just can't get here fast enough. Not that we are in a hurry for the baby to be born, but poor mama is still struggling with the sickness nominally associated with mornings, but in reality can last all day. It does seem to be trailing off as we approach this milestone, and hopefully it will be left in the dust soon. Speaking of dust, it shouldn't be long before our house will be filled with it. We had our meeting with our contractor, and our bathroom should be demolished in a few weeks. I am absolutely sticking to my promised schedule - the bathroom will be done before the baby is born!

Other than that, things are relatively quiet on the homefront- at least, as quiet as they can be with a 20-month running around constantly. Hudson is a pleasure, but an exhausting pleasure- unless you have one, you cannot imagine the energy these little creatures have! He is so curious and excited to experience everything and I will bet that he will enjoy his trip to Chicago this weekend almost as much as his mama. They are going to our friend's bridal shower and will be leaving me all alone. At least my boss will be happy- I'll finally work one of those weekends I have been promising...

11 weeks into the second round...

On our almost inaugural post for the plus-one of our trio, we want to celebrate the 11th week with a photo of the little one as it was kicking and twisting while our doctor measured the back of its neck(among other areas). This was part of an early screening for certain abnormalities, and rather than go into the details of what the test is, we simply would like to report that the baby is doing great!

While all of us watched on the big monitor (Hud was both watching the monitor, and the jelly stuff on mama's belly), the doctor took a snap shot for us to share.

I would be remiss if I didn't include a photo of mama at week eleven. While you can't check out what she looked like last time at eleven weeks, check here to see her at thirteen weeks with Hudson.... she 'popped' a bit earlier this time!

By the way, if you want to keep comparing, please scroll down to see Hud's journey, or you can click on the archive on the right side of the page...

A new addition

Most of you know by now that the turba trio will be adding a member this fall- so we are currently holding auditions. Just kidding! our new member has already been picked, we just don't know who they are yet!

Stay tuned in the coming weeks to learn more about our new member. We have just hit the eleventh week mark, and hopefully this entry will allow us to say goodbye to mama's morning (and all-day) sickness and the exhaustion that the first trimester has brought.

If you can't wait for new photos, please take a look at the belly-bump, and other photos of mama's family at adamturba.com/caro- we just got back from Mexico and had an excellent time.

Of course, he can't type it yet, but Hudson is thrilled about finally being a big brother- he even kisses and rubs mama's tummy!

Keep watching and let us know what you are thinking and what you want to see!

Love from the turba's- adam, caro, y hudson
