The finish line for the first trimester

is in our view, but it just can't get here fast enough. Not that we are in a hurry for the baby to be born, but poor mama is still struggling with the sickness nominally associated with mornings, but in reality can last all day. It does seem to be trailing off as we approach this milestone, and hopefully it will be left in the dust soon. Speaking of dust, it shouldn't be long before our house will be filled with it. We had our meeting with our contractor, and our bathroom should be demolished in a few weeks. I am absolutely sticking to my promised schedule - the bathroom will be done before the baby is born!

Other than that, things are relatively quiet on the homefront- at least, as quiet as they can be with a 20-month running around constantly. Hudson is a pleasure, but an exhausting pleasure- unless you have one, you cannot imagine the energy these little creatures have! He is so curious and excited to experience everything and I will bet that he will enjoy his trip to Chicago this weekend almost as much as his mama. They are going to our friend's bridal shower and will be leaving me all alone. At least my boss will be happy- I'll finally work one of those weekends I have been promising...
